Insurance

Cover first, invest next

A SIP builds wealth slowly. A hospital bill or an early death can wipe it out in a week. We help you buy a plain term plan and a proper health policy first, so the money you invest stays invested.

  • Term life, health and motor
  • Quotes from partner insurers, side by side

Term life insurance

If you earn and someone depends on it, start here

A term plan pays a fixed amount to your family if you die during the policy term. Nothing comes back if you survive, and that is exactly why it is cheap.

Cover
Usually 10 to 15 times your yearly income, plus any home or car debt still running.
Term
Till your youngest child is settled or till 60 to 65, whichever is later.
Premium
Fixed on the day you buy. Buying at 30 costs far less than buying at 40.
Riders worth a look
Accidental death and critical illness. Skip the rest unless you have a clear reason.

Exact premium depends on age, health, smoking habit and the insurer's medical tests.

Health insurance, in three layers

Most families need the first layer, many need the second, and parents over 60 need the third. We help you size each one.

    Family floater

One sum insured shared by you, your spouse and children. A ₹10 lakh floater is a sensible floor today, more if you live in a metro with costly hospitals.

  2. 02

    Super top-up

Kicks in after a set amount (the deductible) is crossed in a year. Adds ₹25 lakh to ₹50 lakh of cover for a fraction of a base-plan premium.

  3. 03

    Senior citizen cover

A separate policy for parents, so one big claim does not eat your family floater. Expect co-pay and longer waiting periods. We read these with you.

Car and two-wheeler, renewed on time

Third-party cover is compulsory by law. Comprehensive cover also pays for damage to your own vehicle. We check the insured value, your no-claim bonus and the add-ons that matter, like zero depreciation for a new car.

  • Renewal reminder 15 days before expiry
  • No-claim bonus carried over when you switch insurer

An honest note

Keep insurance and investment separate

Plans that mix the two promise cover and returns in one policy. In practice you usually get too little cover and modest returns, with high charges and long lock-ins. We say this even though such plans pay sellers more.

Term plan + SIPMixed insurance-investment plan
Life cover for the same yearly spendLarge, often ₹1 crore or moreUsually 10 times the premium

If you already hold a mixed plan, do not stop it in a hurry. Surrender rules differ; send us the policy document and we will tell you whether to continue, make it paid-up or exit.

How much life cover do I need?

Rule of thumb: income times 10 to 15, plus outstanding debts, minus cover you already hold, rounded up to the next ₹5 lakh. It ignores savings, goals and inflation, which a full plan covers.

Claim support

When you claim, you call us first

A claim is when insurance either works or does not. We stay with you from the first call to the final settlement letter.

Doctor going through a report with a patient
  1. Tell us on WhatsApp

Planned admission, accident or a death in the family. Share the policy number and what happened, in your own words.

  2. We list the papers

Discharge summary, bills, reports, FIR or death certificate. You get one checklist, not five phone calls.

  3. We file and follow up

We send the claim to the insurer or TPA, answer their queries and chase the status every few days.

  4. We check the settlement

If an amount is cut, we ask why in writing and help you raise a grievance if the reason does not hold.

The insurer alone decides a claim. We help with paperwork and follow-up; we cannot promise the outcome.

What we compare before you buy

Premium is the last thing we look at. These are the lines that decide whether a claim is paid in full.

  1. Claim settlement ratio

Share of claims an insurer pays, from the regulator's yearly data. We look at three years, not one good year.

  2. Waiting periods

30 days for most illness, 2 to 4 years for pre-existing conditions and listed surgeries. Shorter is better.

  3. Room rent caps

A 1% of sum insured cap means a ₹5 lakh policy allows ₹5,000 a day. Pick a costlier room and the whole bill is cut in proportion.

  4. Exclusions

What the policy never pays for. We read this list aloud with you, line by line.

  5. Co-pay and sub-limits

The share of every bill you pay yourself, and caps on items like cataract or knee surgery.

  6. Renewal and restore

Lifelong renewal, no-claim bonus and whether the sum insured refills after a claim in the same year.

Questions

Insurance FAQ

Something else on your mind? Ask on WhatsApp, or read the full list.

All FAQs
I have cover from my employer. Do I still need my own?

Usually yes. Group cover ends when you leave the job and is often only 2 to 3 times salary. Treat it as a bonus, not your base.

Should I disclose a past illness or smoking?

Always. Hiding it is the most common reason claims are rejected. The premium may be higher, but the cover will hold.

Term plan with return of premium, is it worth it?

It costs much more than plain term cover. The extra money usually does better in a SIP over the same years.

Is health insurance premium tax deductible?

Yes, under Section 80D within the limits for self, family and parents, if you are on the old tax regime.

Can I port my health policy to another insurer?

Yes, at renewal. Waiting periods already served carry over for the earlier sum insured.

Do you charge for advice or claim help?

No. We are paid by the partner insurer when you buy through us. Your premium is the same either way.
